This production of AS YOU LIKE IT was done in a contemporary setting as a contrast between town and country – characters from town finding themselves refugees in a rural forest. We decided one of those refugees was a cabaret/jazz singer and this setting was done to sound like part of her repertoire. This recording is performed with a piano trio but in the original production it was performed with solo guitar.
