William Brown and Doug Frew’s play is about Julia Child and the writing of “Mastering The Art of French Cooking”, the book that would change the course of her life. I wrote this piece very quickly, so much so that I remained uncertain about it for some time. I frequently second guess myself, more so when things come easily.
The production has been remounted a couple of times and I’ve continued to tweak the arrangement in an effort to feel like I did something. But in truth, it’s still the same piece.
